The Bowspring Medicine
I am delighted to relaunch Labworks transformational workshops, beginning with the Bowspring mind-body training, led by legendary Yoga teacher John Friend.
The Bowspring is an antidote to the health issues arising from our modern, sedentary C-curve posture. With the Bowspring, students of any age can learn to move with springy agility, graceful lightness, whole body strength, and expanded vitality. All movement becomes more efficient with the Bowspring – increased power with less force.
On a physical level, nothing has transformed my body as much as the Bowspring practice has – it is simply Movement Medicine. It is my honor to invite you to this very special and intimate weekend. Your heart, mind and body will be completely uplifted!
Through the Bowspring practice, we can reprogram our nervous system’s autopilot, which can keep us stuck in debilitating patterns of fear, sadness, and lack. By mindfully choosing an open instead of closed posture, students can conscientiously re-pattern themselves, their actions, and words to align with their natural, more authentic selves. Old patterns are shed, and a new, healthier lifestyle is embodied!
John Friend has taught yoga and mind-body practices professionally for 44 years, presenting over 800 yoga seminars in over 30 countries to tens of thousands of students.
Over the weekend of December 13-15, 2024, John Friend will offer an 11-hour Semi Private healing intensive at Matagiri – a serene spiritual event center in the wooded mountains 15 minutes outside Woodstock, NY.
